科系简介	言语治疗学系主要是栽培一批医学领域的专业人士，以便帮助一些面对沟通障碍的病人。所谓沟通障碍包括了语音问题、口吃、吞食障碍、语言发展障碍等等。此科系相关课程包括生理学（Physiology）、人体构造学（Anatomy）、儿童语言发展学（Children Speech Development）、听觉及语言发展心理学（Development of Psychology for Hearing and Speech）、听觉及语言神经学（Neurology for Hearing and Speech）、儿科听觉及语言治疗学（Pediatrics for Audiology and Speech Pathology）等。言语治疗师将会接触各阶层面对言语及沟通障碍的人士，例如自闭症、智障儿、兔唇或裂唇、中风或脑麻痹的病人等。因此，在这四年的课程里，学生将会学习如何去诊断病人，然后根据语言障碍的根源、进行发音、语言发展、智力等评估测验，并给予病人治疗与辅导。此科系生必须有爱心及耐心，并且善于接触人群。毕业生也需拥有良好的职业操守。言语治疗师的工作环境包括政府或私人医院、学校、诊疗所、福利社、智力障碍中心等等。毕业生也可选择继续深造，积极在相关领域进行学术研究。
工业实习	在第三年的第二学期，学员须到自选的医院进行实习。
